In addition to Metals Processing and Management, the TMW Technology Division researches, develops and applies innovative technology with notable economic and environmental benefits.

Examples of TMW patented processes are the surface enhancement processes Smooth Clean Surface (SCS) and Eco-Pickled Surface (EPS), a replacement for acid pickling of strip steel. Our Temper Stretch CTL (TSC) process is an economical way to get the benefits of temper passing for light gauge hot band and the superior shape correction and stress removal of stretcher leveling in one complete package. We license our technology to service centers, toll processors and steel mills worldwide.
